eDay Programme is a finalist in Hi Tech Awards

nzhlogo_finalistThe Trust's eDay programme has become one of three finalists in the PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards in the Outstanding Industry Initiative category.

The awards are dedicated to recognising excellence and success. It is the only Awards programme to fully focus on New Zealand's software, electronics, biotechnology, telecommunications and creative technology industries

This year's finalists were chosen from among over 160 entries by an international jury including

  • Michael Dell, founder of Dell Inc,
  • Cisco senior vice president, Howard Charney,
  • IDG Ventures SF Managing Director, Patrick Kenealy,
  • Kiwi expatriate Andrew Lark
  • Edward Farmer, a director of UK based corporate stock broking company Panmure Gordon.
The awards also feature a thirty-strong panel of local judges led by convener Garth Biggs

Other finalists in this category are:

DigitalNZ
A collaborative initiative led by the National Library of New Zealand. Digital NZ aims to make New Zealand content easy to find, share and use. This includes content from government departments, publicly funded organisations, the private sector, and community groups.
The Distiller
A network of technopreneurs based in Dunedin, The Distiller aims to help entrepreneurs bring their ideas to fruition by providing an environment that encourages progress through knowledge sharing, networking, and cross-inspiration.

The winners will be announced at a gala event in Christchurch on 1 May
